SINDEX is a Swiss specialist trade fair for industrial automation held at the BERNEXPO exhibition grounds in Bern. The event positions itself as an industry meeting place for trends, innovations, and key technologies in industrial automation. It covers both individual components and complete solutions and is aimed at trade visitors from industry, development, production, engineering, and technical fields. SINDEX is particularly relevant to the sensor and measurement technology sector because sensors, measurement data, and industrial communication are key components of modern automation and digitalization solutions. The exhibition areas include automation, robotics, production technology, ICT and IoT in industry, electronics and electrical engineering, fluid technology, as well as education, research, and development. According to the organizer, the 2025 edition focused on automation, robotics, sensor technology, and electrical engineering over three days. A special highlight relating to sensor technology was the SwissSensorMarket, which showcased new developments in sensors and their applications. In total, around 200 exhibitors presented their innovations and technologies to approximately 8,000 visitors in 2025. The event is organized by BERNEXPO AG.
