Accelerometer mass loading can have an effect on measured FRFs, especially when there is a stationary hammer hit and the accelerometers are roving on the structure to acquire all the measurements. The mass loading effect is shown with some variations to understand the effect which is especially significant for modal parameter estimation. Discussion on MRIT and how it is useful is also included.
